I am really loving flats at the moment. I feel the need to expand my shoe collection to incorporate more flats…in a wide range of colors. I was on Target.com and noticed a few colorful options. I am really loving this red open toe flat shoe from Target which retails for $16.99. I love patent leather. Also I am on the fence about these yellow flats from Mossimo that retail for $17.99.
I love trying out new liquid foundations. I love all of the makeup from MAC but it doesn’t always agree with my skin…which causes me to break out. Last summer I raved about the Revlon Colorstay foundation which gave me light to medium coverage and soaked up all of the oil on my face. However, it made my skin break out so I was on the search yet again for another liquid foundation. Which has led me to the Cinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup which retails for $24.50. The foundation states to be non-irritating, oil-free makeup which helps blend away blemishes, and neutralize redness. The special part of this foundation is that it has medicated ingredients which help treat existing breakouts and keep them from coming back. I have to admit I was skeptical but I have to say after wearing the makeup for about 2 weeks now I haven’t broken out and my skin actually looks better. I will keep using it to see if my skin keeps changing for the better. I must say the only real downside to this foundation line is that they only have 12 different shades to choose from. So I had to buy two different colors to color blend them to match my skin exactly. Granted in the summer when I’m more tan I will use the deeper shade only and will only use the lighter shade in the fall. I also wish the foundation had more of a matte effect on my oily skin like the colorstay from Revlon which keep me slick free all day long.
I love maxi dresses; I especially love them when they are long enough for my 5’11 slim frame. Here are a few that I have in my closet at the moment from Forever 21. The first dress is called the Aztec Maxi Dress which is shown in teal/olive but also comes in black and white. The maxi retails for $19.90 which a great deal for a floor length maxi. The next maxi dress is called the Electric Hipster and retails for $24.80. I really love the color pattern in this dress which give a 70’s vibe, just pair it with some gold bangles and you are set to go. The next is the Eyelet Maxi Dress which is all white and retails for $28.90 . I absolutely love wearing all white in the summer with gold accessories too.
I think I finally found what I will wear this Easter Sunday. This Lush Floral Ruffle Dress is from Forever 21 and is priced at $22.80. I feel this dress has the right amount of the pastel floral look. All this look needs is a pair of nude pumps and clutch and a pair of pearl earrings and the look will be complete.
Hello Guys and Gals, recently I was interviewed by Jade over at NYFashionCrit.com take a look and have a read.
Words can not express my love for this lovely this Sugar Candy Tunic Dress from French Connection which retails for $228.00. Sugar Candy Dress has a v-neck with floral-style bead and thread embellishment, long sleeves with beaded cuffs and a zip and hook fastening at back. This dress is fully lined at body and has a straight fit. What do you guys think about this lovely dress?
So I may be one of the last people on earth to actually shop at French Connection. I’ve known about the store for a while but never really looked at all of the clothing. Today was my lucky day because I found a lot of dresses I could wear on my friends wedding day in June. This first dress is a pleated crepe maxi dress is a stunning gown called Shelbys Summer Maxi Dress which retails for $248.00. This lovely maxi reminds me of the dress Carrie Bradshaws wore to one of her guys friends wedding in the Hamptons. Any way this lovely number also comes in a short version which retails for $198.00 and is belted I really love both. However, I feel for a June wedding it will be pretty hot so I should wear a short dress.
I thought I would share something new with all of you. I never really considered it before but I figured I would try it out…Hemp Jewelry. I was recently approached by Rachel S. who is the creator of Rachel’s Crafts. Rachel has been making Hemp jewelry since she was in high school and over the years she has only seen a minuscule amount of people wear this very fashionable accessory. Hemp jewelry is not only for hippies and skater teenagers but is perfect for everyone of all ages. Rachel feels hemp jewelry is a fashionable and environmentally friendly type of jewelry; which has been around for hundreds of years and is very durable and strong.
From what I (Trendqueen) have learned is that hemp is a very versatile material because it can be braided in many different ways, any type of bead, charm or pendant can be added and hemp comes in many different colors. Hemp is also environmentally friendly because it comes from the Cannabis sativa plant which grows quickly and is sustainable. Hemp is also perfect for people who are allergic to metals. So with that said I was gifted this lovely purple bracelet with the words FAITH and three glow in the dark pink beads from Rachel’s line. I love my new purple faith bracelet that will bring an instant pop of color to any spring outfit. Rachel’s Crafts also has necklaces, headbands, anklets, and much more.
