Spring/Summer Bright Colors, Bold Patterns, Soft Materials!

Spring is well under way and summer is right around the corner. Every girl needs these two spring/summer essentials in their closet something that can be transformed from a day look to a stunning night on the town look and a dress you can run your errands in: 1.The cute flowy pink dress with a belt accentuating the waist for a balmy summer date night which is priced at $135.00. 2. The nautical day dress for shopping around town and lunch with the girls and is priced at $78.00. They’re both very wearable and will be in your closet for seasons to come!

In Socal we had a wave of summer for about 72 hours so It got me thinking of  summer dresses. I recently purchased a dress called a Bouquet & Flowers Dress for $11.50 from Forever21. It was a deal to good to pass up. Since I always go for black I decided to brighten up my wardrobe with some color so I got the dress in red. I actually may go back and get the black one because it is just so cute. To go with the dress I brought a denim vest for $19.90 to spice things up and I am glad I did.

As I mentioned a few months ago I will be attending my college friends wedding in June. So I’ve been occasionally looking for the right wedding guest dress. So I have this Ravishing Rhododendron Pink Dress from LuLu’s.com in mind. This dress is $56.00 and has beautiful  detachable rosettes at each shoulder which is what caught my eye. Since I will be attending a summer wedding which will be held outside this may be a way to go.  This dress would look very elegant with a high bun and a pair of neutral heels and a nude clutch. Skirts to Suit all Occasions

As women we have the advantage of having a range of clothing for our bottom halves to choose from. Trousers, skirts, shorts and dresses mean we should never get bored. Especially if you look at the range in just one category; for example let’s look at skirts.

Skirts come in so many different styles I have lost count. At www.kandco.com their skirt range is so vast, you will be hard pressed not to find exactly what you are looking for. The best way is to fit the skirt you want to the occasion you want to wear it on.

Floaty loose fitting skirts are ideal for casual wear. As the months warm up and you are considering hot holidays you will want a skirt that will let you breathe. Floaty skirts can come above the knee, below the knee and even right to the floor. So if you have no desire to have your legs out but still want to stay cool then the typical maxi skirt is just what you need.

However, floaty skirts may not be best for your place of work, especially if you work in an office. In these environments you tend to need to ‘power’ dress. This derives from men wearing tailored suits, so women have to wear tailored skirts. Pencil skirts are your perfect option in this situation. They are stream-line and will make any figure look womanly and curvy. Pencil skirts also work well on a sophisticated night out or a meal with formal aspects about it.

However, the height of fashion for skirts at present are large patterned, bold skirts. Perfect for social occasions that are relaxed, or to take on your holidays. They add colour to your life and make you feel and look extremely feminine. No woman could ask for more.

But be aware that the large patterns can be overpowering, so try to avoid them if you are petite, or if you have a slight frame. You do not want to look like you have been eaten by a garden of massive flowers or whirled away by a spiralling death of circles.

So find the skirt that suits you best and then keep adding to your collection. No one can have too many skirts, that is a fact!

Well Easter is fast approaching and you guys know I love LuLu’s.com because they have super trendy clothes for affordable prices. Today I have another cute dress to share with you all that I feel would be just lovely for Easter Sunday.  The dress is called the Lila Lace One Shoulder Pink Dress which retails for $42.00 the dress is A pale pink slip has a whimsical lace overlay that gathers at an elastic waistband. Top it off with a ruffly flounce across a single shoulder strap and you’ve got a winning combination! Dress is fully lined. It doesn’t get any cuter than this. Normally I’m not into high end sunglasses after I lost my Ralph Lauren pair last year (I’m still torn over that). However, I found some really chic designer sunglasses at discounted prices that I wanted to share with you all. I’m really in love with Tom Ford sunglasses which can be found on Designersunglasses.com and retail for $275.48 which is the sale price. Another pair that I love but feel are super flashy are these Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses that retail for $251.74 which are also on sale. As I said before I am not a fan of spending full price but when I can get a deal on any type of designer sunglasses I am all for it.  Happy Shopping.

In a few months I have a wedding to attend (I love going to weddings). Which means I will need a dress to wear for a college friends June wedding. In the summer I really love to wear colors that are really bright and pop but I also need to keep in mind that this is a wedding and I  need to keep everything classy. I have come up with a few looks that I have in mind. The first dress is from Modcloth.com  this  Lilac It Like That Dress retails for $149.99 and is super cute! The perfect V-neckline and its pinafore inspired shoulder straps gives this lilac beauty an old Hollywood glamor look. The Teal dress is also from Modcloth.com and is $59.99. This dress is called the Beach Banquet dress which is a lined dress with a sheer overlay.  The cool effect of the dress is that the outer layer has a metallic floral pattern that reflects light. At the moment I just don’t know which one to choose. What do you guys think?

I don’t know why but I’m really into cardigans at the moment. I thought these cardigans were just lovely and wanted to share with you all. I’m in love with these two below. The first is called the high seas cardigan and the second is a heart print both cardigans are from Forever21 and retail for $22.80. For all of my tall readers (5’8 and above) the heart print is actually long enough for us tall gals. I was pretty amazed. Happy Shopping!!

As we all know Easter is right around the corner and now is the time to start looking for your perfect flattering Easter day dress. So far I haven’t found anything to wear yet but I did come across this super cute and very blue dress that could be worn on Easter Sunday. This dress has an A-line shape, and is uber feminine and form-flattering.
