EOS lip balm

July6

One of the products I’m in love with is eos lip balm. I’ve always used carmex and wanted to try something different and I feel this is the best lip balm ever. I wanted a product that would stay on my lips for hours and keep them soft. Most importantly a lip balm that would moisturize and eos lip balm does all of that for me without re-applying every few minuets. Eos lip balm can be purchased anywhere from Vons, Rite Aid, and Walgreens etc. I purchased my lip balm from Walgreens. Since Walgreens was having a sale I was able to get two lip balms for $6.00. I really like the packaging of the eos lip balm which is a sphere. The eos lip balm that I purchased was the new flavor lemon drop which has an SPF of 15 which is great for the summer and summer fruit. I love, love, love both flavors.

Here is what the website states:

  • Long-lasting moisture
  • Shea butter & vitamin E
  • Smoothes on clear
  • New smooth sphere precisely glides on to lips
  • Twist-off top
  • Gluten-free
  • Paraben-free
  • Petrolatum-free
  • Phthalate-free

eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.

Since I’m gluten free this is a great gluten free lip balm for me. I hope you get a chance to try it.

Purse obsessed

July5

You all know how much I’m in love with lulu.com and they have a 15% off discount good through July 4th if you use code: happy4th

For myself I used this discount code to buy two really cute purses from the website. I couldn’t pass up this oh so chic navy and white purse. It’s called the business class purse and retails for $29.00. The purse has vegan leather satchel features a sophisticated, color-blocked exterior in navy blue, beige and tan. Fastens open and close with gold clasp at front flap. It also has a long strap to wear across my body. The next purse I brought is called the walker museum tote and retails for $37.00. This slouchy sidekick sports stylish simplicity with black vegan leather and gleaming gold hardware. Fold over top has unique kiss lock comprised of three shiny golden balls.

Great Deals

June30

I really love to find great deals so I occasionally shop the sale rack at my favorite stores. At the moment Forever21 is having a huge sale. I brought these jeweled neckline knit top for $10.99. This stretchy soft knit top is perfectly avant garde. The heavily adorned neckline is set with rhinestones, large pearlescent pieces, and twisted satin rope with lobster claw clasp in the back. Banded cap sleeves these were too cute to pass up.

Womens Sleepwear

June28

As I was walking through Target yesterday I noticed some really cute sleepwear. For all of my long term relationship girls who read my blog you don’t need to wear shorts and a tee shirt to bed anymore. I have a few looks to wow your man and for you to still be comfortable. You don’t have to sacrifice sexy over comfortable anymore.  I found this sexy Gilligan & O’Malley womens cotton chemise with a floral boarder at Target for $14.99. When I tried on this chemise it was very soft not itchy and has lace detail at the bottom of the chemise and on the neckline. Gilligan & O’Malley make a chemise in a sheer ivory that retails for $16.99. If your looking for a sexy short set Fredericks of Hollywood is having a huge sale at the moment. They have a satin  cami short set on sale for $20.00 right now.

Bring On the Bling

June4

The following post is a guest article from Michelle Medlock from DiamondJewelry.org

If you’re like most women, the thought of buying a new diamond ring is almost intoxicating. You glance down at the jewelry case. You scan the many baubles, and then you see it—the one. When you discover the diamond ring that is destined to be yours, your heart rate increases; your eyes sparkle with excitement; and your mouth breaks into a sly little grin.

Women love diamonds. Maybe Marilyn Monroe said it best through song when she cooed, “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Bottom line: women love diamonds. But, there is more to choosing a diamond ring than simply following that immediate gut feeling. Of course, you’ll need to look for rings in your price range. You’ll also need to determine if you prefer platinum, yellow gold, white gold or rose gold to compliment your diamond. In addition, you’ll need to select the shape of diamond you prefer: emerald, pear, heart, marquise, radiant, princess, round, oval, trilliant, asscher or cushion. Lastly, you’ll want to decide if you desire a cluster ring, a solitaire, an anniversary band, etc. Today’s creative jewelers offer many stunning styles to choose from, so look closely and study your favorites.

Those are the basics in ring selection but choosing the best stone for your diamond ring involves a bit more information. Ask any expert jeweler and you’ll discover that selecting a quality diamond is based on four criteria: cut, color, clarity and carat known as the “Four C’s.” Cut is the most important aspect because a well cut diamond allows light to reflect from one facet to another. If a stone is cut correctly, that diamond will look as if it is illuminated from within. Color is also crucial to the beauty of a diamond and is graded on a scale from D to Z, with D being the best or what is known as a colorless diamond. However, according to statistics, most diamonds purchased are in the I to J range. The clarity of a diamond is determined by the number of imperfections in the stone—the fewer the better. And, of course, the larger the carat weight, the more expensive the diamond.

So, now you know the 411 on diamond ring selection. Go forth and choose the diamond ring that best fits your budget, lifestyle and personality. Most importantly? Enjoy the buying experience. You might even hum a few bars of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” while browsing…

Denim Vest

June1

Sorry its been so long since I actually wrote a post. It’s the end of the semester and I’ve been cranking out one paper after the other (you know how that goes).

Right now I’m obsessed with denim vests and have my eye on this one from American Eagle. The denim vest retails for $49.50 I know it’s a bit on the pricey side but I love the denim wash.  Also I found a cheaper version at JC Penney on sale for $29.99. This vest would look super cute with a floral summer dress or even a floral romper.
