I can’t seem to figure out the craze for the fringe gladiator sandal. I love the gladiator sandal but not the fringe look. I’m not sure what it is but I don’t think the sandals really go with anything I’m sure some of you think differently but I can’t wrap my head around it. Now if you do like the fringe gladiator sandal I found (in my opinion) a pair at Amazon.com priced at $78.90. Tell me what you think…do you like the sandal or not?

Ahh… it’s that time of year again when the high school students are about to graduate and enter the workforce or college and the college graduates are about to enter the workforce and will have their lives inevitably changed forever. I love this time of year…I can remember back to my college graduation (which wasn’t too many years ago) how happy I was for it to all be over and that all of my hard work paid off. Here are a few graduation gift ideas to give the  graduates. I found this beautiful poem for a daughter high school graduate that is $11.95 from Amazon.com there is also a lovely one for college graduates male or female that is $11.95. Then you have the traditional graduation bear (I received so many of these at my graduation) it retails for $7.59.  I really like the college graduate poem I may give this to my friend that is graduating this year here is part of the poem below.

As you graduate from college so much hard work and determination have brought you to this point  in your life what was once a dream… is now a dream come true. You invested your heart  in this challenge and have some fun along the way but the road to success was not an easy one..it never is. I wanted to share a book my friend told me about the other day. It’s called The Story of a Lifetime: A Keepsake of Personal Memoirs. This lovely memoir is an attempt to capture the footprints—not just for the person telling and recording the story but also for his or her family. I love the entire concept of this book I already brought it for my mother for Mother’s day and am thinking about getting one for my grandmother also. I think it would be a great way to have her  life events written down so generations to come can read them. I found the book on Amazon for $37.56 which is cheaper then the other sites I saw it on.

I’m not sure why but the 90′s trend the “denim jacket” is coming back around. Lately stars such as Rhianna, Jessica Simpson, and Kanye West have all been rocking the denim look. If you still have yours from the 90′s take it out from the back of your closet and dust it off and roll up the arms and rock it. If you threw yours out like I did when the trend was over you can purchase a new one from Forever21 for $29.90 or a classic fit denim jacket from Amazon for $59.50-64.50 depending on your size.

I don’t mean it literally but the new trend for the spring 09 is the boyfriend jacket. You can either pair it with skinny jeans and a nice top or like I recently saw the MTV hit “The Hills” Lauren Conrad wear it with a floral flowy skirt and a fitted shirt underneath. Everything paired with nice heels.

My favorite at the moment is a blazer from spiegel.com it’s their signature stretch fitted jacket and the price isn’t bad either it’s only $49.00 or even better if you head over to amazon you can get an Isaac Mizrahi blazer for $11.24 on clearance can’t beat that price.
