L.A. Fashion week

October19

L.A. Fashion Week has come to a close for me, my last fashion show was Saturday night. I attended the L.A. Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios. It was the biggest fashion show I’ve been to so far the others were nothing compared to this one. The clothes featured in the show were by TVK swimwear by: Nicole Hanriot, Urban Republic Clothing by: Peter Rhima, and Raw 7 by: Ofer Ashkenazy and Julien Chambon, and Divisione by: Victoria Benmashe. The models were from Models International, Photo Genics, Ford, and M.management. I saw a few celebs and it’s true what they say celebrities are very skinny and very short. The clothes from all designers were fabulous and I did see a few pieces that I actually want. I have a scarf from the first show I attended which was at the Palooza studios in Santa Monica the scarf came in the gift bag. It’s a bit on the rocker side but not to overdone it would look great with the boyfriend jacket or a v-neck. I’m giving this scarf away!! To enter all you have to do is leave a comment telling me (Trendqueen) what was your best Halloween costume (what did you wear in detail) I would love to know. Make sure you enter your e-mail address when you leave a comment so I can contact you. The winner will be chosen at random and will be picked on Friday October 30th. The contest is now closed.

Halloween Cat Makeup

September18

As you know I’m going to be a black cat for Halloween. I’m contemplating if I should do my own makeup this year or go to the makeup counter (I love getting my makeup done). While looking around youtube I found a great video how to do your own cat makeup for Halloween. This has left me thinking I should do my own makeup for Halloween. Check out the video. Now all I need is the right purse and maybe a kitty collar more on Halloween accessories later.

Playboy Bunny Halloween Costume

September11

A costume I always loved was the Playboy bunny Halloween costume, when I go out for Halloween I usually don’t see to many people trying to pull off this great Halloween costume for some reason I thought about this costume but chose the cat costume instead. Now if you plan on dressing up as a Playboy bunny you should look at the details of the costume and not half a$$ it. You should wear the ears, bunny tail, wrist cuffs, sheer black stockings, heels, and the necktie. I’ve seen a few different versions of the costume and all look great. The great thing about wearing the stocking is that you can buy the control legs and top so everything is in place when you walk because you will turn heads in this Halloween costume. Also, the playboy bunny Halloween costume comes in all sizes from a small to a 3x for all of my plus size ladies. This costume is from Amazon and is priced at $39.50-49.95. If your a little hesitant about wearing the high cut bottom you can go with the bunny dress costume which retails for $50.99 which still stays true to the classic look.

Angel Halloween costume

September4

As you may know I love, love, love Halloween not for what it represents but because I love to dress up in Halloween costumes. I have another costume look if you don’t want to look like everyone else, if your going to a Halloween party or club Friday or Saturday night. Two years ago I was an Angel for Halloween I wore a  White Sheer Marabou Babydoll dress from Frederick’s of Hollywood, wings with a bit of glitter, a halo and white fishnet stockings, white boyshorts, and white booties.  You could change the angel Halloween costume to a devil Halloween costume by buying the red sheer marabou babydool dress and red horns, tail, and a pitch fork. Now for the pricing the White Sheer Marabou Babydoll dress from Fredericks of Hollywood is $19.99 right now its on sale the angle wings I brought from party city for $9.99 and the Halo for $4.99 the cool thing about the wings and the halo is the marabou trim so it keeps the look in unison. The boy shorts you can buy anywhere just don’t get any with lace because it wont look right. You could wear any white shoes you could wear white tights or sheer tights with a shimmer that would look really cute be sure to wear all stockings under the boy-shorts. Remember Fredericks of Hollywood is having a sale of 15% off until the end of October.
